Fiat Ottimo Cross – Motorshow Focus
Riza Rizvi, Hopelessly in love with everything on four wheels. Interested in cars since my formative years, with an unhealthy affinity for exotics and tuners. Fondness for the open road with high-octane machinery for company!
Is based on the Fiat Ottimo hatchback.
Fiat Ottimo Cross concept made its debut at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. The concept is the cross version of the Fiat Ottimo hatchback.
The concept is based on the same platform that underpins the Dodge Dart. It gets the regular cross treatment with big wheels, prominent wheel arches, front and rear skid plates, raised ground clearance, plastic body cladding and roof rails (that come with LED lighting).
The interior is similar to the Ottimo hactchback with minor modifications. The dashboard, seats and steering wheel are covered in leather with contrast red stitching bringing a sporty look. The style quotient is dialed up with aluminum accents featuring prominently in the cabin along with gloss black finish on some portions of the dashboard, instrument binnacle and center console.
The Cross variant, if produced, is likely to be powered by the same 1.4-liter T-Jet engine that comes in two tunes of 120 hp and 150 hp with transmission options being a 5-speed manual or a DCT.
