Gets only three stars in child occupant protection.
Latin NCAP has announced that they have conducted the usual round of safety tests on the facelifted 2015 VW Vento that is sold in Latin American markets. The VW Vento is manufactured at VW India's plant in Chakan and exported to Latin America.
The new Vento that was tested had dual airbags, ABS, ISOFIX seats, and seat belt pretensioner as standard. It managed to get 5 stars in the adult occupant protection and 3 stars for child occupant protection.
Speaking on the former, Latin NCAP reports that both the driver and passenger heads were well protected by the front airbags. Both seatbelts were equipped with pretensioners and load limiters. The bodyshell was rated "stable" and could withstand further loading.

As for the three stars rating in Child Occupant Protection, it is attributed to the position of the ISOFIX anchorages, and that it did not have warning marking for installing a CRS (Child Restraint System) in the front passenger seat.
