Launches in the UAE region this month.
Hyundai Motor Company in partnership with local UAE distributor Juma Al Majid Establishment has unveiled the made-in-India Hyundai Creta at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show today. The distributor announced that sales of the Creta will commence this month in the region.
The Creta, which is based on the Hyundai ix25, went on sale in India in July this year. Since, bookings for the compact SUV have crossed the 50,000 mark, and subsequently production has been increased to 7,500 units a month at Hyundai Motor India Ltd.'s (HMIL) Chennai plant, which will export the product to Middle Eastern and African markets.
The Creta has dimensions of 4,270 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, 1,630 mm in height and 2,590 mm in wheelbase. Power for the Creta comes from a 1.6-liter Dual VTVT petrol engine which is capable of 123 PS and 15.4 kgm of torque. At the moment, the Creta is offered only with a front-wheel drive system.
Features aboard the Creta include alloy wheels, ABS, EBD, airbags, rear parking sensors, foglights, front and rear skid plates, roof rails, automatic climate control, follow-me-home headlights, a foldable key, a 2-DIN music system with MP3/AUX-in/USB, Bluetooth, steering mounted controls and 1 GB internal memory.
