Shine SP is the priciest in its segment.
The Honda CB Shine SP has been launched rivaling the same motorcycles that the standard Shine competes with, which includes the Bajaj Discover 125, the Hero Glamour and the Yamaha Saluto.
The performance of the CB Shine SP is on par with the old Shine model, which is better than most of the commuters in the 125 cc segment but not when compared to the Discover. The output figures of 10.7 PS and 10.30 Nm are marginally lower than the Discover's 11 PS and 10.80 Nm which also has higher power to weight ratio than the Shine. Both these models get a 5-speed gearbox while the Glamour and Saluto are equipped with a 4-speed transmission.
