Hero Passion iSmart 110 cc motorcycle could be in the making – Spied
Ashwin Ram N P, Ashwin is a guy with a slightly unorthodox perception of everything. His struggle to choose a career path, between art and automotive engineering, has landed him in the field of auto journalism, where he has paved way for himself to practise both.
Not expected to be launched this year.
Gaadiwaadi reports that Hero MotoCorp is working on its second commuter motorcycle with the iSmart technology, which could be launched as a new variant in the Hero Passion range.
The publication has posted spyshots of a camouflaged low-displacement bike which is claimed to be the aforementioned model. The iSmart feature is deduced by a blue switch on the RHS switchgear console of the camouflaged prototype, which is the iSmart toggle switch present in the Splendor iSmart.
The 110 cc test mule is equipped with skinny tyres, black 5-spoke alloy wheels, split pillion grab handles, an exhaust can that reminisces the Hero Glamour’s, drum brakes on both wheels and an analog speedometer.
The motorcycle could be powered by the company’s self-developed engine platform, which spawned a 111 cc unit for the Hero Duet and the Hero Maestro Edge scooters. The motor on the scooters produces 8.43 PS of maximum power and 8.30 Nm of peak torque.
