2016 Toyota Innova was designed keeping rear seat comfort as priority – Report
Aravind Jayachandran, I'm a huge petrolhead, an automobile engineer, a massive fan of Ferrari, and loves collecting die-cast models for inspiration.
Will reportedly arrive in India during H1 2016.
The all-new 2016 Toyota Innova will be making its world debut in Indonesia on November 23, featuring a host of improvements on all fronts.
For the new Innova, the company has decided to focus on three key aspects: ride quality, rear space and exterior design, according to Hiroki Nakajima, Executive Chief Engineer Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC). Speaking about ride quality, TMC has promised it to be comfortable over poor road surfaces.
As for rear passenger space, the new Innova’s interior was designed around passengers in the second row, unlike the usual focus on driver and front passenger. Second row passengers will have much more space and better visibility than before, says Toyota.
The new exterior design lends a premium look to the Innova, sporting a large grille with chrome accents, swept back headlamps with LED tech, new L-shaped taillamps, and sportier bumpers. Judging by images of the new model on the road, it appears to have a much better road presence than the previous model.
Indonesia will be the first market to sell the Innova, while a launch in India is expected to take place in 2016. The Indian model will be built at TKM’s factory in Karnataka.
