Could be brought to the country via CBU route.
According to Autocar India, the new 2016 Hyundai Tucson is likely to be launched in India, as a mid-size SUV filling a gap between the Creta and Santa Fe.
Revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the new Hyundai Tucson has become so popular in various markets that the Korean manufacturer had to increase production at its factory in Ulsan, South Korea. The report from Autocar states that the new Tucson will be brought to India via the CBU route.
Older reports have suggested that Hyundai India were considering a mid-size SUV to rival the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and Tata Safari Storme. It would be based on the Tucson's platform, locally produced at their factory in Chennai, and launched in 2018.
