Debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show.
The upcoming Range Rover Evoque Convertible will establish a niche convertible SUV segment in global markets, when it is unveiled in November at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show.
Based on teasers released by Land Rover, IAB's graphic artist Shoeb R Kalania has come up with a new rendering of the Range Rover Evoque Convertible, giving a better look as to what the compact sports crossover looks like with the roof chopped off.
The Evoque Convertible will adopt a soft-top power-operated roof and will feature a moulded rear spoiler. Having the roof down will solve the regular Evoque's average rear visibility, when backing up against an object.
The engine lineup will be carried over from the regular Evoque, which was updated earlier this year as part of the 2016 Evoque facelift. The Evoque convertible will be offered with a range of 2.0-liter Ingenium diesel engines that range between 180 PS or 150 PS. It is paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox, and will be equipped with an AWD system with Terrain Response.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer revealed the geographic target of the car when he said that the Range Rover Evoque Convertible "is perfectly suited to the urban surroundings of a city like London."
