The Fiat Abarth Punto is launched at INR 9.95 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It is offered in two body colours - Pearl White and Hip Hop Black.
The Fiat Abarth Punto is powered by an uprated version of the Fiat Linea's 1.4-litre T-Jet turbo petrol engine with DOHC, that produces 145 hp at 5,500 rpm and 212 Nm between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, that sends power to the front wheels. The car does 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds, and 0-1 km in 30.4 seconds. Its ARAI certified mileage is 16.3 km/l.
The Abarth Punto gets disc brakes on all wheels, governed by ABS with EBD. The tyres are of size 195/55-R16, that are shod on 16-inch 'Scorpion' alloy wheels. The hatchback features a lower and stiffer suspension compared to the standard Punto variants, and has a ground clearance of 155 mm.
The safety features provided are, front airbags with early crash sensors and passenger airbag deactivation, 3-point ELR seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters, height adjuster for front seatbelts, Fire Prevention System (FPS) that cuts fuel supply in case of roll-over, and Immobilizer with Rolling Code (FCS).
The interior gets the same layout as the regular, Fiat Punto, but with an all-black soft touch front panel, ambient lighting on dashboard, fabric accents on door panels and armrests, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, sporty seats and upholstery, a rear parcel tray and a lamp for the boot.

Other salient features on the Abarth Punto are remote/keyless entry, desmodronic foldable key, hydraulic power steering, electric mirrors, power windows with auto down function for all four windows, tilt steering, height adjustable driver seat, infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and SMS readout function, 60:40 split rear seats and electric boot release.
