Priced at INR 26.4 Lakhs.
GM India has launched the Chevrolet Trailblazer in India, which is priced at INR 26.4 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
The full-size ladder-frame SUV measures 4,878 mm long, 1,902 mm wide, 1,847 mm high and has a 2,845 mm long wheelbase. It features projector headlights, leather upholstery, multifunction steering wheel, 7 inch MyLink touchscreen entertainment system with USB, CD, Bluetooth and AUX-in, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and electrically-adjustable driver’s seat.
The Trailblazer packs a 2.8-liter four cylinder Duramax diesel engine capable of producing 200 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends torque to the rear wheels. It also features Hill descent control and Hill start assist.
The Trailblazer is available in India in a top-end LTZ variant only, with a 4x2 system. GM India officials stated at the launch that there were no immediate plans to bring a 4x4 variant of the Trailblazer just yet.
In the Indian market, the Trailblazer will rival other premium full-size SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe, Ssangyong Rexton, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Ford Endeavour, of which three models have already moved to their next generation in global markets.
