Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the 2016 Land Cruiser (facelift) at INR 1.29 crores, ex-Showroom, New Delhi, its flagship product in India.
Launched in its home market in Japan this August, the facelift brings to the SUV a new exterior design with a hexagonal grille, LED headlamps, new alloy wheels and redesigned taillights. For the Indian market, the 2016 Land Cruiser also gets two new exterior colors - Copper Brown & Dark Blue Mica.
Inside, the Land Cruiser facelift sports an all-new 4.2-inch TFT MID, an all-new steering wheel, a satin finished center console and new interior colors which include Brown and Flaxen apart from the existing Black color. On the feature front, the Land Cruiser facelift gains a heated steering wheel, tyre pressure monitoring system, multi-terrain monitor cameras, and LED illuminated entry system.
For the Indian market, the Land Cruiser is available with a 4.5-liter V8 diesel engine capable of 261 hp and 650 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission and a permanent 4WD system. Internationally though, this engine received a new ECU mapping and a diesel particulate filter, and produces 7 hp more.
The SUV is imported into the country through the CBU route. It comes with a 3-year/100,000 km warranty.
