Gets new 10-spoke alloy wheels.
New spyshots of the Tata Kite have emerged on Team-BHP forum featuring new alloy wheels. The new wheels have 10 spokes with a groove on each alternate spoke.
Featuring a revised version of the Tata Indica's platform and a fresh design language, the Tata Kite will be positioned as a Maruti Celerio competitor, which will include the Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat and the like as rivals.
Expected to be launched by the end of this year, the Tata Kite is reported to enter production at the Sanand plant in December. Its compact sedan variant will be launched sometime next year.
The Kite duo will be powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.05-litre 3-cylinder diesel mill, both mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) is also reported to be made available on the Kite, but it is unclear as to whether it'll be offered on the petrol or diesel variant.
