Borrows design elements from the iV-4 Concept.
Suzuki has showcased the Vitara S Grade at the ongoing 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The S Grade will sit at the top of the Vitara lineup.
On the exterior, the front of the S Grade gets a five-slot grille that was previously seen on the iV-4 SUV concept shown at the previous Frankfurt Motor Show. That grille is flanked by full LED headlamps with round fog lamps on the bumper also getting vertical LED strips. The S variant is offered in seven colours with two of them coming in two-tone combinations.
The interior gains leather-and-suede-like seats with red interior accents to add an element of sportiness. Safety features such as RBS (Radar Brake Support) autonomous emergency braking system and adaptive cruise control come as standard. Suzuki’s Smartphone Linkage Display Audio is now Apple CarPlay compatible and can be operated through the 7-inch display. Apple CarPlay compatible and native apps such as Maps, Phone, Messages, and Music, Podcasts and Audiobooks can be controlled via the touch screen or voice commands using Apple’s Siri language interface.
Power will be coming from the all-new 1.4-litre, direct-injection, turbocharged Boosterjet petrol engine, that produces 140 hp and 220Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, that sends power to Suzuki AllGrip AWD system. Combined fuel efficiency is 18.51 km/l and combined CO2 emission is 127 g/km.
