Renault India launches limited edition Renault Duster Explore – IAB Report
Riza Rizvi, Hopelessly in love with everything on four wheels. Interested in cars since my formative years, with an unhealthy affinity for exotics and tuners. Fondness for the open road with high-octane machinery for company!
Features only cosmetic updates.
Renault India has quietly launched a limited edition of the Duster, calling it the Duster Explore. The Explore is available only in the RxL. The less powerful 85 PS RxL Explore is priced at INR 9.99 lakh while 110 PS RxL Explore costs INR 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The limited edition does not feature any mechanical changes under the hood. The front features a dark chrome grille, smoked headlamps, bull bar with driving lights and stripe decal on the hood. Coming to the side, it gets dark anthracite alloy wheels and decals on the doors. The rear end only sports darkened chrome strip on the tail gate.
Interior comes with revisions in the form of a dual-tone seat upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and orange inserts on the dashboard, instrument cluster and floor mats. There is also silver trim on the door panels, center console, steering wheel and transmission tunnel. Features such as a gear-shift indicator, eco mode and cruise control with speed limiter are also present.
Power for the Explore edition is provided by the familiar 1.5-liter K9K diesel unit that is tuned to produce maximum output of 83.8 bhp and 108.4 bhp. The former is paired to a 5-speed manual with the latter mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. There is no petrol engine available in this offering.
