Riza Rizvi, Hopelessly in love with everything on four wheels. Interested in cars since my formative years, with an unhealthy affinity for exotics and tuners. Fondness for the open road with high-octane machinery for company!

Turbocharged flat-six engine for the Carrera and Carrera S.

Porsche has finally unveiled the facelifted 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S (991.2), ahead of its debut at the 2015 IAA in Frankfurt. The exterior has been slightly revised, featuring updated headlights with distinctive four-point DRLs, door handles inset in to the door panels without recess covers, redesigned taillights, vertical louvres for the engine cover, and centrally-placed dual exhaust tips.

The changes to the interior come in the form of a new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with online navigation. The touchscreen is a seven-inch unit and features multi-touch gesture support as well as handwriting inputs. Smartphones can be connected to the system through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, as well as support for Apple CarPlay connectivity. Porsche claims that the navigation system has been significantly improved with the integration of Google Earth and Google Streetview for the very first time.
