Indian launch expected during Diwali.
Here are further spyshots of a top-end variant of the Maruti YRA (Suzuki Baleno), snapped in India.
On the outside, the premium hatchback gets projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, foglights, alloy wheels (possibly 16-inch alloys), chrome door handles with keyless entry, turn indicators on the ORVMs, and a rear spoiler.
Inside, the YRA (Baleno) shows its SmartPlay touchscreen entertainment system (also seen on the S-Cross), automatic climate control, an MID, a steering borrowed from the Swift, and dual front airbags. The tachometer, which has a redline starting at 6,250 rpm, confirms this particular unit to run on the more expensive fuel, confirming that petrol and diesel engine options will be available at the time of its launch.
The engines are likely to be carried over from the Swift, which is powered by a 1.2-liter K-Series petrol and a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel. For the European market, where the Baleno has its market launch next year, a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged Boosterjet engine will also be available.
