Mojo will look to establish MTWL as a desirable brand in the two-wheeler segment.
Mahindra Two Wheelers Limited (MTWL) will bring out its long-awaited Mojo in this festive season, with one report putting its launch on October 16. According to a report on Autocar Pro, the Mojo will not be a volume spinner, rather it will be an image builder for the company.
Showrooms have started accepting bookings for a fee of INR 10,000, while test rides to prospective customers have not yet started. Dr. Pawan Goenka, executive director and president (automotive and farm equipment sectors) in an interaction with the publication stated that the “Mojo is not a bike that will bring in sales volume to the company instead it is expected to establish the company as a desired brand in the two-wheeler segment.”
The Mojo is powered by a 295 cc single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 27 bhp and 30 Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. 320 mm disc up front and a 240 mm disc at the rear will provide stopping power, and ABS is not expected at the launch.
The premium motorcycle is expected to be priced between INR 1,75,000 to 2,00,000.
