Commences another venture with Agni Group of Nepal.
Mahindra has extended its partnership with the Agni Group of Nepal by appointing their subsidiary Agni Motoinc as the authorised national distributor for Mahindra Two Wheelers. The Nepalese Group has been associated with the Mahindra brand since 1991 for the sales and service of Mahindra Tractors, Multi-Utility Vehicles, and Lube.
To begin the new venture, MTWL has launched the Mahindra Centuro Disc Brake and the Centuro Rockstar variants at the 2015 NADA Auto Show. Both the models are already available in the Indian market, where the former was launched in June 2015 and the latter in August 2014.
The Centuro is an entry-level commuter that is powered by a 110 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8.5 PS maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 8.5 Nm peak torque at 5,500 rpm, mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The bike has a claimed mileage of 85.4 km/l.
The Centuro Disc Brake is the flagship variant that is loaded with features like a flip key, an encrypted remote within the key fob, anti-theft alarm with engine immobilser, find me lamps and guide me lamps, and tubeless tyres.
The Mahindra Centuro Rockstar is the most affordable model that loses out on a lot of features but retains the retains the electric start, alloy wheels, LED pilot lamps, LED taillights and the flip-type key.
