Hero MotoCorp has announced the Hero Duet 110 cc for a festive season launch. Initially, the company will launch the Maestro Edge, which will go on sale on October 13.
The dimensions of the Hero Duet are 1,830 mm in length, 725 mm in width, and 1,140 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1,240/1,245 mm (LX/VX) and the ground clearance is 155 mm. The Duet, with an all-metal body, weighs 115/116 kg (LX/VX).
The scooter has modern features such as Integrated Braking System (Combi-Braking), combination-type handlebar lock, digital-analog instrument cluster with service reminder, external fuel filler, USB power socket for charging smartphones or other gadgets, night lamp for under-seat storage, carry bag hooks at the front and rear, telescopic front fork, and tubeless tyres on steel wheels. Other features include twin helmet holder, front inner box and a side stand indicator.
The new Hero Duet is offered in 6 shades - Candy Blazing Red, Nature Green Metallic, Pearl Silver White, Grace Grey Metallic, Matt Vernier Grey and Panther Black Metallic.
The Duet is powered by an engine developed in-house by Hero MotoCorp, unveiled on the Hero Dash scooter at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The motor is a single-cylinder air-cooled unit with a displacement of 110.9 cc. It develops 8.31 bhp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 8.30 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm, mated to a traditional CVT. The fuel efficiency is rated at 63.8 km/l.
