2016 Honda Civic 5-door notchback with sporty features – Spied

One of the body styles of the 2016 Honda Civic range.
The 5-door notchback bodystyle of the 2016 Honda Civic has been spotted testing in Spain, featuring sporty enhancements like large rims with low-profile tires, a trio of exhaust pipes in the center, and performance-oriented brakes.
Although the test mule in the new spyshots features the front-end of an Acura ILX, the new Civic is certain to feature the company’s new “Flying H” grille, sleek LED headlamps and a sportier lower fascia with a trio of inlets, as previewed by the Honda Civic Concept from the 2015 New York Auto Show.
Power for the 2016 Honda Civic 5-door will be sourced from an all-new 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo four-cylinder. In the JDM-spec Honda Jade RS, the same 1.5-liter turbo engine develops 150 PS at 5,500 rpm and 203 Nm of torque between 1,600-5,000 rpm, which comes paired to a CVT with 7-stepped ratios.
The 2016 Honda Civic will be unveiled on September 16, 2015, in Detroit and Los Angeles, and is expected to reach dealers across U.S by the end of this year.
