VW India has introduced new features on the Polo lineup, which consists of the Polo, Cross Polo, GT TSI and GT TDI models. The 2015 Polo is available at dealerships across India from September 1, 2015 at the prices mentioned below:
- 2015 VW Polo 1.2 MPI - INR 5.23 lakhs onwards
- 2015 VW Polo 1.5 TDI - INR 6.55 lakhs onwards
- 2015 VW Cross Polo 1.2 MPI - INR 7.04 lakhs onwards
- 2015 VW Cross Polo 1.5 TDI - INR 8.31 lakhs onwards
- 2015 VW Polo GT TSI - INR 8.41 lakhs onwards
- 2015 VW Polo GT TDI - INR 8.41 lakhs onwards
Note: All prices are ex-Showroom, Mumbai.
The Polo is now given additional features such as cruise control, cooled glovebox, turn indicators on the ORVMs and electrically folding ORVMs. While cruise control and electrically folding wing mirrors are reserved for the Highline variant, the chilled glovebox is extended to the mid Comfortline variant, and turn indicators on the ORVMs are standard across the range.
There are no mechanical changes on the 2015 Polo. The engine lineup consists of the 1.2-liter three-cylinder MPI petrol producing 75 PS and 110 Nm of torque, the 1.5-liter four-cylinder TDI diesel in power states of 90 PS/230 Nm and 105 PS/250 Nm on the GT TDI, and finally a 1.2-liter TSI four-cylinder turbocharged petrol developing 105 PS and 175 Nm on the GT TSI.

VW India is also considering the launch of the performance-oriented Polo GTI with a 1.8-liter TSI engine. Prototypes have been spotted testing in Maharashtra, and if the company decides to go ahead with the launch, it can be expected this financial year.
