Expected to debut in November.
Hyundai has posted the first official teaser of the next generation 2016 Hyundai Elantra, which is expected to debut before the end of 2015. Reports suggest that it will premiere at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The teaser gives an idea of the 2016 Elantra's final design, which looks more elegant and contemporary than the outgoing model. It will draw design cues from the Hyundai Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, which influences the Hyundai Tucson and i20 hatchback. As seen in the teaser, it gets a larger hexagonal grille flanked by sleek headlamps with LED DRLs, and a new c-pillar design.
Reports suggest that 53% of the body will feature high-strength steel construction for increased strength, while the drag coefficient is expected to be 0.27 Cd, making it one of the most aerodynamic cars in this segment.

Spyshots of the interior have revealed that it will borrow cues from the latest Sonata and Tucson. Gone is the flowing dashboard of the previous model for a simple design that is inline with Hyundai's latest range.Expect better build quality, a new infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen display, and a range of interior color combinations (depending on the market).
For international markets, the 2016 Hyundai Elantra will likely pack the new 1.6 liter T-GDI engine which produces 175 hp. It will be mated to a six-speed automatic as standard, or an optional seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
