BMW M2 to be unveiled in October – Rendering
Riza Rizvi, Hopelessly in love with everything on four wheels. Interested in cars since my formative years, with an unhealthy affinity for exotics and tuners. Fondness for the open road with high-octane machinery for company!
Will produce 365 bhp from the 3.0-liter engine.
BMW enthusiast forum 2Addicts has rendered the BMW M2 to a very high quality.
A new report on BMW Blog says that the car will be revealed in October while the global market launch is expected around March 2016.
The two-door compact sports car gets the trademark kidney grille flanked by LED headlights with round LED DRLs. The front bumper houses big air intakes and wide radiator grille. The front fenders feature air vents along with muscular wheel arches and the rear gets LED tail lights, quad exhausts and a central diffuser.
The details have not been announced or hinted, but the 2016 BMW M2 will likely get a TwinPower 3.0-liter, in-line six producing 365 bhp and 465 Nm of torque. This engine will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Top speed would be restricted to 250 km/h and the 0-100 km/h sprint could take just 4.5 seconds.
There are also reports that confirm four exterior colours for the M2 – Long Beach Blue, Alpine White, Mineral Grey and Black Sapphire. Further, reports say that black leather with blue stitching and 19″ wheels in black will be the only option, while Power heated seats, Rear camera, Haman Kardon audio and Adaptive headlights are optional.
