The car will go back to being a CBU.
BMW India has launched the facelifted Mini Countryman today following the car's global unveiling at last year’s New York Auto Show. The four-door, five-seater compact crossover is receiving minor cosmetic upgrades, and the car, which was assembled in India from April 2013, is now back to being a CBU.
Changes are concentrated mostly on the outside. Modifications include a revised grille, new alloy wheel design and LED treatment being meted out to the redesigned DRLs and circular fog lamps.
A choice of three new colours – jungle green metallic, midnight grey metallic and starlight blue metallic - round up the exterior changes. The interior does not see much alteration apart from a new infotainment system, tinges of chrome on the switchgear, and anthracite-coloured dials.
One diesel unit will be powering the Countryman - a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged unit generating 112 hp and 270 Nm of torque, that accelerates the car from 0-100 km/h in 11.3 seconds and to a top speed of 185 km/h. The transmission duties will be taken care of by a 6-speed Steptronic unit.
