Ford Motors has unveiled the all new 2015 Ford Everest (arriving in India as the Ford Endeavour) at the 2015 Indonesia International Motor Show (2015 IIMS) today.
The more-rounded exterior of the Ford Everest is a step up from the boxy looks of the outgoing model. Characteristic features include a bold chrome grille, projector headlamps, sculpted wheel arches, new horizontal wraparound taillamps, and a large chrome bar with the nameplate embossed.
The third-generation SUV is based on the Ford Ranger (T6) pick-up truck platform but comes with an heavily revised suspension system and cabin features. It measures 4,893 mm long, 1,862 mm wide, 1,837 high, has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, and a high ground clearance of 225 mm.
Inside, Ford has equipped the 2015 Everest with features like a Terrain Management System, power-folding third row seats, a 9-speaker audio system with a sub-woofer and an 8-inch screen touchscreen display powered by Ford’s latest SYNC2 infotainment system.
Under the hood, the 2015 Ford Everest comes with a choice between a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine and a 3.2-liter five-cylinder diesel engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission, while higher variants get a 4WD system as standard.
