Nissan India today launched a limited edition Micra X-Shift paired exclusively to its CVT gearbox. Based on the lower XL variant of the hatchback, the Micra X-Shift is restricted to 750 units only. The edition celebrates the fifth anniversary of Nissan Micra in India.
Exterior features on the X-Shift include a matte black roof, a chrome tipped exhaust, reverse parking sensors, and side decals with the X-Shift branding. Inside, it gets silver-finished door armrests, LED scuff plates, and a new 3-spoke steering wheel borrowed from the Nissan Sunny facelift.
Further, steering mounted controls and a Bluetooth enabled music system are other features Nissan is offering on the X-Shift. Safety features include a driver-side airbag and ABS. The Micra X-Shift continues to be powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine capable of 77 PS and 104 Nm of torque. The ARAI rated fuel efficiency is rated at 19.74 km/l.
The Nissan Micra X-Shift is priced at INR 6.4 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi, while the regular Micra XV CVT costs INR 6.93 lakhs in the same city. The Micra continues to be offered with a 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine as well, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed manual is also offered on the Micra 1.2-liter petrol.
