All models priced over INR 2 crores.
Mercedes has launched the Mercedes S 500 Coupe, Mercedes AMG S63 Coupe, and the Mercedes G63 "Crazy Colour" Edition today in Delhi, which will serve as brand shaping tools for Mercedes-Benz as well as Mercedes-AMG in India. All models will be, unsurprisingly, brought to the country via the CBU channel.
1) Mercedes S Class Coupe and AMG S 63 Coupe:
Mercedes India has finally introduced the Mercedes S Class Coupe range in India, long after it made its world debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. It also debuts Merc's Magic Body Control feature, which is not offered in the locally assembled S Class limo.
Previewed by the Concept S-Class Coupe, the Mercedes S Class Coupe is 5,027 mm long, 1,899 mm wide, 1,411 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,945 mm. It comes equipped with optional LED headlamps that feature 47 Swarovski crystals each - 17 angular crystals for the flare-shaped daytime running lamps, and 30 round-shaped crystals make up the turn indicator lamps.
The interior design is similar to its 4-door brother, although it's slightly redesigned updated for a dynamic look. The S Class Coupe also comes with full-colour head-up display and a COMAND infotainment system navigated via the familiar TouchPad.
It features a large, two-part wide-screen format TFT screens, each 12.3 inch big, which display the instrument dials and the COMAND software. The S Class is a 2+2 seater, with two power adjustable nappa leather seats at the front, and two individual fixed seats at the rear.
The Mercedes S Class Coupe is available with 2 engines across 3 variants. The entry-level variant is the S 500 Coupe, which is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 biturbo engine that generates 455 hp of power and 700 Nm of torque. Mercedes has also introduced the AMG S 63 that packs a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine outputting 585 hp and 900 Nm of torque through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed automatic gearbox. It is available as RWD and AWD (with a 4MATIC system) variants.
The Mercedes AMG S 63 Coupe debuts the company's MAGIC BODY CONTROL suspension system, which scans the road surface and adjusts the suspension. It also features a curve tilting function, which tilts the body towards the corner - like a motorcycle.
The S 500 Coupé is priced at INR 2 crores, while the top end AMG S 63 Coupé starts from INR. 2.60 crores (all ex-showroom Delhi).

It also gets obsidian black add-on parts, while the interior comes with colour coordinated topstitching on the centre console and dashboard, as well as on the handbrake and grab handles on the doors. It is upholstered in black designo leather, and features AMG carbon fibre trim and an AMG performance steering wheel.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 "Crazy Colour" Edition is priced at 2.17 crores (ex-showroom Delhi)

3) Mercedes S Class with designo customization
Mercedes has also introduced the designo app as well as customization platform, which allows prospective clients to further personalize their Mercedes-Benz.
Similar to BMW's Individual, the Mercedes designo offers exclusive paint finishes, high quality interior appointments and trims; ranging from hand-sewn leather upholstery to trims made from real wood or lustrous natural stone.
Mercedes India showcased a customized 2015 Mercedes S Class limo at the launch to give an idea of the level customizations clients can go for.
