Hyundai Elite i20 and i20 Active duo to get it by the end of this month.
A new report from Autocar states that the Hyundai Elite i20 will offer a touchscreen infotainment system for the first time in top variants. Along with the Elite i20, the feature will also be added to the Hyundai i20 Active by the end of this month, while the Hyundai Verna will get it in the festive season.
To keep prices competitive while adding a touchscreen system is likely to be the reason why Hyundai had to delete a few features from the equipment list, such as a leather-wrapped steering and gearknob, a boot lamp and auto-up function for the driver-side window.
The touchscreen system could be identical to the 7-inch LCD unit with hands-free Bluetooth system offered in the European spec Hyundai i20. In India, the Honda Jazz and Tata Bolt are the only hatchbacks to offer a touchscreen infotainment system in their respective range-topping trims.

It's also a welcoming upgrade for the feature-rich Hyundai Verna 4S, which is competing in a segment where the Honda City and Maruti Ciaz are offered with the said feature.
