Mahindra Scorpio with automatic transmission launched at INR 13.13 Lakhs - IAB Report

Mahindra has officially introduced the option of an automatic transmission for the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio, which is only available in the range-topping S10 trim. The Mahindra S10 2WD AT is priced at INR 13,13,701 (ex-showroom Delhi), while the 4WD AT is priced at INR 14,32,976.

New Mahindra Scorpio front quaretrs Delhi launch — Being the S10 trim, the Mahindra Scorpio AT comes with all the bells and whistles such as bending projector headlamps with LED "eyebrows", and a touchscreen infotainment system.

The Mahindra Scorpio AT pairs a 6-speed automatic transmission to the 2.2-liter mHawk four-cylinder diesel engine which is capable of 120 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 1,800-2,800 rpm. The company has not yet revealed official ARAI-certified fuel consumption figure of the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio AT.

So far, the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio was only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission could improve its drivability around congested cities.

Being the S10 trim, it comes with all the bells and whistles such as projector headlamps with LED "eyebrows", a 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, an anti-theft system, engine immobilizer, and 17-inch wheels.
