Expected to launch in India next year.
Hyundai Motor has launched the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe (facelift), dubbed 'The Prime', in the South Korean market with cosmetic, feature and mechanical updates. Prices for the new Santa Fe range from 28.17 million Won to 36.33 million Won (INR 16.14 lakhs to INR 20.82 lakhs).
On the outside, designers have given the SUV new front and rear bumpers with chrome highlights for the foglight enclosures. The grille gets a minor redesign, while new LED daytime running lights are included in the bumper in addition to the LED guide light in the headlight cluster.
Other exterior changes include an optional panoramic sunroof, new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheel patterns and LED light strips on the taillight clusters. Inside, the 2016 Santa Fe continues with its interior largely unchanged, but Hyundai says it has focussed on improving the quality and attention to detail. The instrument cluster gets new fonts, and the accents on the dashboard and seats have been revised as well.
Mechanically, the Santa Fe facelift continues with 2.0- and 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engines which have now been improved for lower CO2 emissions and improved response, and reduced vibrations especially during a cold start.
On the feature front, the 2016 Santa Fe is now equipped with Smart High Beam Assist, DBL (Dynamic Bending Lights), an Advanced Cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, a 360-degree camera and a new high-end JBL Surround Sound system.
