World premieres on May 20 in India.
These spyshots are possibly of the Renault XBA (reported to be called the Renault Kayou) compact car which will mark its world premiere on May 20, 2015. Renault's entry-level offering will be revealed in Chennai by Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Renault Group.
There are a few tell-tale signs of this camouflaged hatchback being the Kayou. The wheels for example look like 13- or 14-inch units wrapped with slim rubber, while the black wing mirrors are a clear indication that the car is built to a cost.
Another cost-cutting bit which makes its appearance is the single wiper blade. Despite being an entry-level car, the Kayou is expected to have a modern design subscribing to Renault's global design language, as this will be a global model.
Powering the Kayou will be a newly-developed 0.8-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which will reportedly be matched to manual and automated manual transmissions (AMT). However, a diesel engine will not be offered.

The Kayou will mark the debut of the CMF-A platform in India, upon which alliance partner Nissan will base its forthcoming entry-level Datsun product, codenamed 'I2' and previewed by the Redi-Go concept.
Renault India has announced that the Kayou will be priced under the INR 4 lakh mark.
Rivals: Hyundai Eon, Maruti Alto, Datsun redi-Go, Tata Nano variants
Expected Price: INR 3-4 lakhs, ex-Showroom
Launch date: May 20, 2015 (unveiling)
