Features cosmetic changes and equipment upgrades.
VW India have revealed the Vento facelift, eight months after they updated the model with new features and the new 1.5-liter diesel engine. The new facelift brings a host of cosmetic upgrades to the exterior as well as interior, that uplifts the premium appeal of the Vento.
For starters, the front end is throughly revised. It includes a new bumper design, Passat-esque 3-slat grille and larger fog lamps with integrated cornering lights. The rear gets an updated taillamp with LEDs, and generous helping of chrome, as seen in the long strip that runs across the boot and the lower fascia. The rear bumper gets a cutout for the chrome exhaust tailpipe as well.
The interior remains largely identical to the outgoing model, save for new interior color schemes and upgrades like cruise control, a cooled glovebox, a dead pedal, external boot release and auto-folding mirrors.
The facelifted Vento will retain the engine-lineup of the previous model, which includes a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol delivering 103 bhp, a 1.6-litre petrol with 104 bhp, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 103.2 bhp. Transmission options include a five-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed DSG automatic.
