New 340i variant with inline-six cylinder added to lineup.
Ahead of its global premiere today, the first images of the 2015 BMW 3 Series (facelift), or the BMW 3 Series LCI, have leaked on the internet.
At first glance, this appears like the current 3 Series, mainly because the cosmetic changes are minuscule in nature. The front fascia gets a slightly tweaked bumper, but more importantly, comes with LED headlights, a first on the 3 Series nameplate.
The changes on the rear are a bit more distinguishable thanks to the new LED bands on the taillight enclosures. Like the front, the rear bumper too gets a mild design update. The Blue color seen on this car is reported to be a new shade, and that completes the exterior changes.
Inside, the updated F30 gets chrome surrounds for the automatic climate control and chrome accents for the doors and side vents. A press release, expected later in the day, should throw more light on the exact nature of changes.

The 2015 3 Series in these images is the new 340i variant which is powered by an inline-six cylinder engine. It is not expected to launch in India however, as BMW will continue to use the 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine under the 320d variant.
