The Skoda Yeti LWB is showcased once again at Auto Shanghai 2015. The long wheelbase version of the China-specific Skoda Yeti premiered at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2013 and has been on sale since then. Another unique feature on this model is the tailgate mounted spare wheel.
The stretched Yeti for the Chinese market measures at 4,223 mm in overall length and has an extended wheelbase of 2,638 mm. Compared to the standard version, the Yeti LWB is 60 mm longer while the height has been reduced from 1,691 mm on the standard Yeti to 1,682 mm on the LWB.
The Skoda Yeti Long Wheelbase is based on the refreshed Yeti and gets some neat design touches like the dual-tone alloy wheels, stylish spare wheel cover, hatchback-like tail gate, front and rear skid plates, roof rails, blacked-out C and D-pillar and a new front end styling. The new Yeti also gets a contrast roof that adds a touch of sportiness. Minimal use of chrome and sharp features makes the SUV looks bold yet elegant.
For the Chinese market, Skoda offers a wide range of engines on Yeti. The base is powered by 1.2-liter TSI petrol and 1.6-liter TDI diesel both producing 103 hp. The 1.4-liter TSI engine generates 120 hp while the 2.0 TDI is available in 108 hp, 138 hp and 168 hp state of tunes. A 1.8-liter TSI petrol engine is also offered in two states tune - 150 hp and 158 hp.
Customers get a choice of transmissions starting with 5-speed, 6-speed manual and 6-speed, 7-speed automatic.
