Would be offered with three engine options.
Ford India is in the process of making the TV commercial of the new Figo Aspire, with a launch reported to take place in June this year. The production-ready Figo Aspire was unveiled last week during the inauguration of Ford India's new manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
The Figo Aspire, the brand's first sub-4 meter sedan, will take on the hugely-popular Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest. Reports state that three engine options will be available on the new Ford.
A 1.2-liter four-cylinder TiVCT petrol engine matched to a 5-speed manual transmission will deliver about 82-85 PS, sources said. Next up is the 1.5-liter diesel engine (same unit found on the EcoSport and Fiesta) which would be retuned for "excellent" fuel efficiency. Finally, a 1.5-liter petrol engine paired to the 6-speed dual-clutch transmission would be offered for those needing an automatic transmission.

Ford India confirmed that the Figo Aspire will get side and curtain airbags, making it the only car in its class to have these features. The top-end Titanium variant will be equipped with the manufacturer's SYNC and AppLink infotainment system, while the lower variants will get a device docking station.
