Likely powered by a 600 cc diesel engine.
The Eicher-Polaris Flexituff was caught revealing its interior in new spyshots snapped by Gaadi.com. The Flexituff is a result of a collaboration between Eicher Motors and U.S.-based Polaris Industries. The LCV will, reportedly, be manufactured in a twin-cab passenger variant, and a single-cab load-lugging model.
These spyshots show that the Flexituff is nearly production ready, and on course for a launch this year. As it will be made to a cost, the Flexituff will make do with a single wiper and a basic dashboard with an integrated gearlever.
Power for the LCV would come from a Greaves Cotton sourced 600 cc diesel engine with a fuel efficiency in the region of 25 km/l. The Flexituff would be based on a tubular frame chassis with lightweight materials used for construction, including about 20 kg of plastic parts.
It will be manufactured at a new facility in Jaipur with an initial sales target of 10,000-12,000 units per annum. The Eicher-Polaris joint venture have invested INR 250 Cr in the development of this project.
