Suzuki Motorcycle India today confirmed that it will launch the Suzuki Gixxer SF on April 7. The company did not disclose details of the motorcycle.
We can lay claims seeing spyshots that the Gixxer SF is the company's first faired mass-market motorcycle and has the same styling used on big bikes like the Hayabusa and GSX R-1000.
As usually with variants, the Gixxer SF should be motored by the 154.9 cc single-cylinder engine which serves the Suzuki Gixxer, though it could be retuned to nullify the effect of the fairing weight.
Just for reference, this engine produces 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Expect the Gixxer's front telescopic fork and rear monoshock to do its suspension duties.
Past reports say that the Gixxer SF's body colours would include Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mirage White, Candy Red, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Grey shades.

The Gixxer SF should be priced at about INR 10,000-15,000 over than the Gixxer, which costs INR 83,549, on-road, New Delhi.
