The Lodgy is the first of two major launches for Renault India this year, the other being the XBA small car.

The model here is the top-end RxZ variant of the regular Lodgy (there will be a Lodgy Stepway with skid guards and mild body cladding as well). On the outside, the Lodgy gets a chrome rich grille specifically for the Indian market, chrome highlights for the side rub-rails and a chrome garnish for the rear registration plate enclosure. 15-inch alloy wheels complete the list of exterior features.

Inside, the top-end Renault Lodgy gets a dual-tone dashboard, a piano-black center console, chrome highlights for the instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, a touchscreen Media NAV system, and AC vents for the second and third rows.

Tables on the front seat backs, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors and perforated leather upholstery are among other features seen on the Lodgy.

Power for the Lodgy will come from the 1.5-liter four-cylinder K9K diesel engine, which will be offered in power outputs of 85 PS and 110 PS. A report states that this engine in the Lodgy benefits from electronic updates resulting in smoother power delivery. A 5-speed manual on the 85 PS variant and a 6-speed manual on the more powerful variant will shift the cogs.

Rivals: Mahindra Xylo, Chevrolet Enjoy, Maruti Ertiga, Honda Mobilio
Expected Price: INR 7-10 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi
Launch date: March-April 2015 (unconfirmed)

Looks good if not great. Can give some competition to Mobilio and Innova. Rear look could have been better especially tail lamps. Hope they are taking care of rust issues which surfaced in many Dusters.

Also they have to price it considerably less than Innove otherwise it would be a suicide. Or they have to wish that Toyota would further increase new Innovas price which is coming next.

Pricing in the range of Mobilio would be ideal, in my opinion (as this looks bigger than Ertiga and Mobilio and easily considered in next segment)

It is a good MPV, I bought it recently. I test drove Mobilio, Ertiga and Innova but lodgy impressed me because of its gearbox, no turbo lag, more space (head and leg room), no 5 gear restriction, insulated cabin, you wouldn’t hear anything even at 120, boot space can be increased exponentially by rearranging the rear seats, media nav and reverse cam right on the dashboard, driver seat spacious and with enough adjustment, storage space (trays, compartments) are there, ABS, good AC and everything is just great at this price. Off road also it is good. As a family car or for those who move frequently, it is amazing.

Finally replacement to innova in commercial and personal…
Any idea of safety features? If it has esp, it is 100% innova killer

This car looks good but cannot be compared with Eritiga (facelit).. I just noticed a white model (in Signal) with red board passing PSN building whitefield without any cover.. Decent looking.. Price matters 🙂 Some might not like the shape.. its odd..
