Sub-4 meter variant planned for India.
South American publication Noticias Automotivas has come up with renderings of the production version of the Nissan Kicks concept. The Kicks concept was presented at the 2014 Sao Paulo International Auto Show in October last year, and is reported to have its market introduction in Brazil next year.
For the Indian market, Nissan is reported to be working on a shorter version of the Kicks that will tuck under the 4 meter length, thus qualifying it for small car excise duty benefits. The sub-4 meter Kicks is anticipated at the Auto Expo 2016 which will take place in the first week of February.
The Kicks is expected to be based on the V-Platform, which also underpins the Nissan Micra and Sunny. While the Brazilian model would get flex-fuel engines with displacement up to 2.0-liters, the Indian version is expected to be powered by the 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine.

This rendering shows that the production version of the Kicks will remain true to the concept, though minor changes will be made to the wheels, bumpers and lights to align the car with a production line.
