The Mitsubishi L200 is a rebadged version of the Triton, which was revealed with the same design and specs in Thailand, last year. The company has focused on improving the aerodynamic efficiency of the L200, lowering the drag coefficient to 0.40 Cd. It will be available in Double Cab and Club Cab variants.

The design of the new L200 is a heavily revised version of the outgoing model's styling. Main highlights include a more imposing chrome grille, redesigned headlights and taillights.

The underlying new frame of the new L200 has 7 percent higher torsional rigidity than before for tackling harsh, challenging conditions.

As in the Triton, the new L200 is powered by a 2.4-liter MIVEC turbo diesel offered in power ratings: a base version producing 152 hp and 380 Nm of torque, and a more powerful engine delivering 178 hp and 430 Nm of torque. The revised engine range is said to emit 169 g/km of CO2 emissions,  a 17 percent improvement.

The engine is paired to a six-speed manual transmission that sends torque to all four wheels via Mitsubishi's Super Select 4WD II system, which features full-time 4WD, low gear and four driving modes.

The all-new Mitsubishi L200 will be launched in European markets during the summer of 2015. It will be built and exported from Thailand.
