Will be offered in FWD and AWD format.
Mazda's smallest SUV - the CX-3 - has made its European debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Part of the Japanese brand's aggressive model launches, the new CX-3 will be the fifth new model to launch within six months.
Similar to its bigger brothers, the new CX-3 is heavily influenced by Mazda's KODO design philosophy, with a revised front grille flanked by headlamps. The front and rear end appears scaled down from the CX-5, while top spec trims will get large 18-inch wheels.
Inside, the CX-3's interior looks identical to the Mazda2 hatchback. It comes with a 7-inch infotainment display navigated via a control knob, a simple dashboard, and a revised instrument cluster. It will be available with MZD Connect, Mazda’s safe and easy-to-use smartphone connectivity system, and the company’s state-of-the-art i-ACTIVSENSE active safety technology.
At its heart is a 2.0-liter Skyactiv four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox. It is capable of delivering 155 hp and 203 Nm of torque to either the front wheels (standard) or all wheels via an AWD system (optional).
The new Mazda CX-3 will go on sale in Europe in early summer. Prices will be announced closer to its market launch.
