The Lexus GS F is the latest addition to the high performance “F” line.
At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Lexus has unveiled a high performance variant of the mid size GS sedan – the Lexus GS F. The car world premiered at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2015.
The GS F is the latest addition to Lexus’s high performance “F” line, which includes cars like the IS F, RC F and the LFA supercar.
With the “F” badge, the GS gets a dynamic styling that echoes renewed power and performance. Up front, there is the familiar Lexus Spindle grille with unique F-model mesh pattern and the large air intakes integrated into the deep front bumper. The grille is flanked by slim, angled LED headlights and L-motif DRLs.
The GS F sits lower and wider than the normal variants, with 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in large tyres (255/35R19 at the front, 275/35R19 at the rear). At the back, it features a carbon fiber rear spoiler and a quartet of chrome exhaust tailpipes.
The sporty theme flows inside as well, featuring sports seats with dual tone upholstery; alcantara on the doors, centre console and upper instrument panel; and carbon fiber trim on the dashboard, door panels. It is also equipped with an LFA-inspired electronic instrument display, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system, and Active Sound Control system.
Under the hood is the RC F-sourced 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of delivering 470 bhp and peak torque in excess of 530 Nm. It is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels via Lexus’s new torque vectoring differential.
Lexus will announce market specification and prices closer to its launch.
