VW Jetta facelift launched at INR 13.87 lakhs – IAB Report

VW India today launched the Jetta facelift in Mumbai with prices starting at INR 13.87 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Mumbai. Below are the variant-wise prices of the Jetta facelift –

There are no mechanical changes in the Jetta facelift.
  1. VW Jetta Facelift Petrol (Trendline, Comfortline) Prices – INR 13.87 to INR 15.36 lakhs
  2. VW Jetta Facelift Diesel (Trendline, Comfortline, Highline) Prices – INR 15.01 to INR 18.76 lakhs
  3. VW Jetta Facelift Diesel AT (Highline) Prices – INR 19.77 lakhs

Note: All prices are ex-Showroom, Mumbai.

The Jetta facelift gets an updated front fascia with a triple-slat chrome grille, a new front bumper with redesigned foglights, and Bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights for the Highline variant. The rear sees newly-designed taillights. A new Blue shade has also been added to the list of colors.

Inside, the Jetta facelift gets the new 3-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, a new twin-tube instrument cluster, an airbag deactivation switch and a fatigue detection system. All variants of the Jetta will now offer cruise control as standard.

There are no mechanical changes to the sedan. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI engine capable of 122 PS (120.28 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel uses a 2.0-liter TDI developing 140 PS (138.02 bhp) and 320 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG automatic.

The Jetta petrol delivers 14.69 km/l, the Jetta diesel MT gives 19.33 km/l and the diesel AT returns 16.96 km/l.

    If you are cash strapped and can’t afford an Audi, now you have options! You can buy this at 14 L and spend another 2L to get some hood ornaments to make Audi A3 and save a cool 10 to 15 L. After all they are same cars with different trinkets and logos.
