Triumph Tiger XCx and XRx unveiled at India Bike Week 2015 – IAB Report
Both share the basic architecture.
Amidst the festivities of the third India Bike Week at Vagator, Goa, Triumph India Unveiled the new Tiger XCx and the XRx adventure motorcycles. These special iterations of the Triumph Tigers were first introduced to audiences worldwide at the EICMA 2014 Motor Show in November 2014.
Both models differ in their terrain capabilities. While the XRx featuring alloy wheels is more suitable for tarmac roads, the XCx features spoke wheels which can be handy while light off-roading.
The Triumph Tiger XRx also features twin power sockets. Apart from these differences, both the motorcycles feature the same tubular steel trellis frame and cast aluminium swingarm, and get four-way traction control system, cruise control and ABS as standard.
The Triumph Tiger XCx and XRx employ a 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 800 cc engine that produces 94 PS power and 79 Nm torque, mated to a six-speed transmission.
The machines feature adjustable 45 mm upside down forks at the front with 220 mm travel and a Showa monoshock at the rear with hydraulically adjustable preload, damping and rebound adjustment, with 215 mm travel.
While Triumph did not officially announce prices of the XRx and XCx at India Bike Week 2015, both the motorcycles would be available at dealerships by the end of March 2015.
