Gives an insight into the production spec 370Z Nismo Roadster.
At the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, Nissan unveiled the 370Z Nismo Roadster concept, a one-off design study that gives a preview of what the coupe would look like without a roof.
Apparently, Nissan unveiled the concept to gather interest from the public, which will help decide whether to give the green light for mass production or not. If allowed for production, the 370Z Nismo Roadster will be the fifth model to join the Nismo range.
Similar to its mass produced fixed-top brother, the 370Z Nismo roadster sources power from a 350 hp 3.7-liter V6 engine, paired to an automatic gearbox. With Nismo nameplate, it features an aggressive body kit with functional aero upgrades, and a tuned suspension for better handling.
Currently, the Nismo version of the 370Z Coupe makes up for 20% of the 370Z model range's total sales in the United States. A roadster version could increase the percentage, given the good demand of roadsters in the country.
