Will be available in two variants: C220 CDI Style and Avantgarde.
Mercedes-Benz India today launched the Diesel powered C-Class - the Mercedes C220 CDI - at their assembly facility in Chakan, Pune. Following are the prices, ex-showroom, New Delhi.

Mercedes had already announced the petrol version of the C-Class back in November 2014, which is imported as a CBU model. Similarly, the newly launched diesel version will follow the CBU route for a few months before it is assembled.
The car is powered by the familiar 2.2-liter 4 cylinder diesel motor producing 167.6 bhp between 3,000-4,200 rpm and 400 Nm between 1,400-2,800 rpm. Both variants will feature Merc's 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission that will drive the rear wheels, enabling it to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 233 km/h. The German car manufacturer claims an ARAI rated efficiency of 19.27 km/l for the diesel powered C-Class.
On the exterior front, the C-Class is heavily influenced by its flagship brother, the S-Class. Both variants will be fitted with LED headlamps and DRLs, which features adaptive lighting. While the C220 CDI Style comes with multi-spoke 16-inch alloy rims, the Avantgarde variant features a 5-twin-spoke alloy rims.
The new C-Class is brimming with safety features: ABS, BAS, ESP, ASR, Hill start Assist, and Attention Assist (warning the driver if drowsy).
Multimedia wise, it comes fitted with a tablet-like infotainment display powered by Mercedes' COMAND software with a touchpad for navigation. It comes pre-loaded with Garmin maps for street-by-street navigation.
Other features include three-color ambient lighting, panoramic roof, Keyless entry with push button start/stop, and a respectable boot space of 480 liters.
