The U301 is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine, and come only in 2WD.

While most previous test mules have been seen with steel wheels, the vehicle in picture was spotted with alloys and a side step. Likely to be based on a shorted platform of the Scorpio, the sub-4 meter SUV could also get an automated manual transmission, as the latest interior spyshots revealed.
