Introduces the AMG Sport range.
Mercedes Benz has introduced the AMG Sport range with the C 450 AMG 4MATIC, currently being showcased at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
Powering the Mercedes C 450 AMG 4MATIC is a 3-litre twin turbocharged engine that makes 367 hp of maximum power and 520 Nm of maximum torque. To complement the added power, a sports suspension with adaptive dampers is borrowed from the more focused C 63 AMG. Also making its way into the car is a speed-sensitive AMG sports steering system.
The transmission is Merc's 7G-Tronic automatic unit, which sends power to all four wheels via the the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The car does 0-96 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, and maxes out at 250 km/h.
The standard sedan measures 4,686 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, 1,442 mm in height, and 2,840 mm in wheelbase. In comparison, while the measurements are likely to be the same, the C 450 AMG boasts an AMG body kit (front and rear bumpers, and side skirts), new wheels, and black interior.
Sales of the C 450 AMG will begin in the coming months.
