New Sirion, Spirit, and Xenia to be launched.
Astra Daihatsu Motor is reported to have three launches planned for the year. According to Kompas, the Japanese car maker will include the new Sirion, the Terios Spirit, and updated Xenia MPV into its Indonesian line up.
The report says that the new Daihatsu Sirion will be the first among these three. Following its launch in Malaysia this month (as the new Perodua Myvi), the city car will be introduced in the Indonesian market in February.
Next up in April is the Daihatsu Terios Spirit which Daihatsu showcased at the 2014 Indonesia International Motor Show to gauge public response. The show car, which previewed the facelift, had new projector headlamps, black grille with two chrome slats, and redesigned bumper.
When put into production, it is likely to continue using the 1.5-litre petrol engine (which makes 107 hp and 141 Nm of peak power and torque) as the current vehicle.
