Will be revealed in February 2015.
A pre-production camouflaged prototype of the 2016 Skoda Superb has been spotted undergoing final testing in China.
Earlier, a couple of snaps of the 2016 Skoda Superb's headlight and taillight were leaked online, which seem to have been inspired by the VisionC concept's design. The latest spyshot previews a lightly disguised front end of the mid-size sedan, giving us a basic idea of what it might look like.
It will sit on the platform shared with the latest Volkswagen Passat, and will be 20 mm longer and 50 mm wider than the outgoing model for extra space in the rear. The upcoming Superb will, reportedly, drop 75 kg thanks to the new MQB platform constituting of lightweight materials. Boot space is expected to increase to 625 liters and, as far as access is concerned, Skoda will ditch the complex Twin-Door boot in favor of a conventional hatchback opening.
The next generation Superb will also be available with an engine lineup identical to one offered with the 2015 Volkswagen Passat, which includes a range of four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines.
The 2016 Skoda Superb will be revealed in Czech in February 2015, followed by a public reveal at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in early March. Its arrival on Indian shares may happen later this year or in early 2016.
